Major Infrastructure Boost for Dholera: Fire Station, Hospital, School & More in the Pipeline

Dholera is set for a significant transformation in the coming years, with crucial infrastructure developments on the horizon. The Gujarat government, in its 2025-26 annual budget, has allocated substantial funds to enhance facilities in the Dholera Special Investment Region (SIR).

Finance Minister Kanubhai Desai has outlined provisions to support social and civic infrastructure, ensuring Dholera's growth aligns with its vision as a smart city. Here’s a breakdown of the key allocations:

🔹 Social Infrastructure (Hospital & School): ₹170 crore has been earmarked for the development of a hospital and school, strengthening essential services for residents and businesses in Dholera SIR.

🔹 Fire Station: To enhance emergency response capabilities, ₹25 crore has been allocated for setting up a modern fire station in Dholera.

🔹 Sea Dredging & Land Filling: ₹10 crore will be invested in sea dredging and land filling, undertaken by Dredging Corporation of India (DCI), supporting the region’s expansion.

🔹 Trunk Infrastructure Augmentation: ₹20 crore has been allocated to upgrade and expand core infrastructure, ensuring seamless connectivity and utilities in the region.

🔹 Desalination Plant: ₹1 crore has been set aside for developing a desalination plant, providing a sustainable solution for water requirements.

🔹 Integrated Residential Township: Another ₹1 crore is designated for the development of a residential township, offering a modern living ecosystem for future inhabitants.

🔹 Tent City Development: A provision of ₹5 crore has been made to establish a tent city, promoting tourism and temporary housing solutions.

🔹 Dholera International Airport Expansion: The government has proposed ₹6.56 crore as reimbursement for acquiring additional private land, supporting the development of Dholera International Airport under state assistance.
